I got a bank account today. The opening hours of the bank is ten to five work days, and ten to one Saturday. That’s two to three hours – each day – more than I’m used to in Sweden.
Having two visa debit cards connected to the account is free, compared to the 20-25 pound per card and year in Sweden.
And yes, of course online banking is free too, without the hassle of a widget (”digipass”). Two passwords replace it and feels almost as secure.
Did I mention 1.5% interest rate even on the wage account? What is that usually in Sweden? 0.01%?
All in all impressive – all of that fixed in less than an hour during a non-pre-booked meeting without queueing.
I’m sure there are problems with uk banking, I’ve just yet to discover them.
Den svenska banksystemet är ett oligopol. Då blir det dålig konkurrens.
I think you got a point.
